
Shreveport Police Arrest Two Men on Firearms Charges
Earlier this month, Shreveport Police Officers arrested two men in connection to gun crimes in the city.
Kaleb Hamilton was arrested after an investigation revealed he allegedly threatened another individual with a firearm on East Lister Street. Hamilton has been charged with Aggravated Assault with a Firearm.

During the same investigation, Officers also arrested Detravius Murray, who was in possession of the firearm used in the assault. A background check showed Murray is a convicted felon due to a prior conviction for Illegal Use of a Weapon legally can not possess a firearm. Murray was out on bond for two domestic violence-related charges at the time of his arrest.

Murray has been charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, along with additional related offenses.

"If you're using firearms to threaten others or possessing them illegally, expect to be arrested. The Shreveport Police Department remains committed to reducing violent crime and holding offenders accountable."
