Shreveport Police Arrest Suspect Following Violent Domestic Dispute
SHREVEPORT, LA — A welfare check on the afternoon of March 19, 2026, led to the arrest of a local man after Shreveport Police discovered a scene of significant domestic violence. Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 8500 block of Panatela Lane after a concerned mother alerted authorities. The mother reportedly received a photograph of her daughter that suggested she had been physically assaulted.
Upon arrival, responding officers located the victim, who was visibly trembling and initially too terrified to speak. After being assured of her safety, she informed police that she had been struck in the face with a bottle thrown by Jamariya Stafford.
Severe Injuries Reported at the Scene
Officers noted the victim’s right eye was swollen shut, and she suffered a deep, bleeding laceration between her eyes along with significant facial bruising. Personnel from the Shreveport Fire Department provided on-site medical attention, warning that the victim likely sustained a fractured orbital socket. She was advised to seek immediate emergency hospital evaluation.
