Shreveport Woman Wanted for Violent Assault at Local Business

Shreveport Police Department has identified a suspect in connection with a violent disturbance that occurred on Jewella Avenue.

Officers responded to reports of an assault and battery at a business. Officers learned that the victim was inside the store with his three minor children when a fight broke out.

During the incident, multiple suspects allegedly attacked the victim, hitting him with things from around the store, including a ladder taken from a store aisle.

Following the assault, the suspects fled the scene before police got there.

Through investigative efforts, including the review of store surveillance footage and information gathered from social media, detectives identified 17 year-old Jelani L. Jordan as one of the women involved in the attack.

Jordan, currently has an active warrant for one count of Simple Battery. The investigation remains ongoing, and additional arrests are possible.

Shreveport Police are urging the public to come forward with information that could lead to the arrest of Jordan or anyone else who may have been involved in the fight.
