Shreveport Police have been working non-stop to get guns out of the hands of those who shouldn't have them. Here are some of the people who have been recently busted by SPD for having a gun as a felon.

A call came in to SPD on the 23rd about an armed person on Lyba Street. SPD was able to find 26 year-old Najee Agee. When Agee was searched Police found a concealed handgun. Agee is not allowed to have a handgun because he's a convicted felon. Agee was convicted in 2017 of armed robbery. The gun he had was also stolen.  Agee is facing charges including, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, illegal possession of a stolen firearm, and aggravated assault with a firearm.

That same day SPD made a traffic stop and found that the driver Gabriel Crockett didn't have a driver's license. Police arrested Crockett and searched his car. During the search SPD found a gun. Police did a background check and found out that Crockett was a convicted felon with drug offences. Crockett is facing charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, along with multiple traffic violations.

At around 4am on the 24th SPD stopped a car that had several different drugs and a stolen handgun. Richard Graham, the driver of the car was cuffed and put in the back of a cruiser while Police ran a background check. It showed that Graham had felony conviction involving drugs, and was not suppose to have a gun of any kind. He is facing several drug distribution charges and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

On the 21st SPD patrol Officers pulled a man over for not wearing a seatbelt. Things took a turn when Officers noticed a gun in the car. Nathan Wilson was taken out of the car for Officer's safety and was put in cuffs. Wilson was not allowed a gun due to a 2022 conviction involving a shooting. He was put behind bars for, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
