On March 20, 2026, officers arrived at the 4800 block of Long Street responding to reports of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, they encountered Christopher Kemp and a female victim engaged in a heated argument in the driveway. According to police reports, Kemp became aggressive toward the responding officers, necessitating the use of a Taser to bring him into custody.

Investigation Reveals Severe Physical Assault

The investigation determined the dispute began over a set of car keys and that Kemp was allegedly intoxicated. While the victim initially hesitated to report physical contact, officers noted visible injuries, including bruising and scratch marks on her forehead and neck.

Further questioning revealed a harrowing account of the assault. Kemp allegedly strangled the woman until she lost consciousness and lost control of her bladder. Detectives noted that this was not an isolated event, citing a pattern of violence between Kemp and the victim.
