On 06/03/2023, At around 3:00PM, Blanchard Police Officers Yount and Hall with the assistance of Officer Miller and Chief Allen conducted a traffic stop for speeding. In the process of the traffic stop officers Yount and Hall noticed the odor of marijuana.

Officers questioned the suspect and the suspect told officers he indeed had marijuana in the vehicle and a search of the vehicle was done. Upon further investigation with the assistance of Officer Miller and Chief Allen schedule 1 marijuana in the amount of 22.3 grams and schedule 4 narcotics were discovered.

Further search into the vehicle revealed the discovery of an illegal short barrel rifle with a buttstock and a foregrip and a semi automatic pistol with lots of ammunition. It was discovered that the suspect was a felon and the suspect should not have had possession of any weapons.

The suspect was arrested and charged with possession of schedule 1 narcotics, possession of schedule 4 narcotics, possession of a firearm/concealed weapon by a felon, Possession of firearm/Possession of cds. The suspect was booked into the Caddo Correctional jail.
