
Benton Man Arrested for Sexual Assault Involving a Child
Last week, the Benton Police Department started an investigation following allegations of sexual assault involving a child.
Following an initial investigation, Kenneth Wayne O'Briant was arrested and booked in to Bossier Parish Maximum Security Facility on a charge of molestation of a juvenile. O'Briant was released after posting a $25,000 bond.
As the investigation went on, the Benton Police Department with the help of the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Forensic unit, were able to uncover more information leading to another active warrant for O'Briant's arrest.
Based on the investigation, the warrant on O'briant was issued for First Degree Rape and Child Grooming.
O'Briant is currently being held at the Bossier Parish Maximum Security Facility under a $1.3 million-dollar bond.
