Nacogdoches Historic Sites has a cemetery event coming up on Saturday, April 12, 2025. The Living History of Oak Grove Cemetery Tour is from 10 AM - 1 PM.
Tour One Of The Most Famous Cemeteries In Texas
Did you know five of the 59 delegates that signed the Texas Declaration of Independence are buried in the Oak Grove Cemetary? These historic figures will return to life to tell their stories during the tour.

You can tour the cemetery and hear the history of Texas directly from those who made it. Tickets are $10 each, and kids 10 and under are free and can be purchased the day of the event, right across from the Oak Grove cemetery entrance.

Tours will start at 10 AM and will run every 20 minutes. The proceeds of this event will go to ongoing historic preservation efforts in Nacogdoches.
Oak Grove Residents Brought To Life On Cemetery Tour
This is not a scary haunted graveyard event, and perfect for adults and children of all ages. All of the Oak Grove residents who are brought to life have amazing costumes and are a fountain of information about the person that they are portraying.
