A homeless couple is behind bars after their dog bit a Shreveport Police officer during a traffic stop. The officer stopped a vehicle on the Clyde Fant Parkway near Lake Street.

While the officer was conducting the traffic stop, 28-year-old William Gerlaugh and 23-year-old Brettany McAnally began interfering with the officer's work. The officer attempted to get the couple to leave but they wouldn't.

The officer called for back up and while they were arresting the couple, their dog bit an officer on the leg. The pair has been charged with interfering with an officer of the law.
