I ran into Troy and Jacob Landry, of History Channel's 'Swamp People' this past weekend and they were the nicest couple of celebrities I ever met!

The Landry family live in Pierre Part, Louisiana (between Baton Rouge and Morgan City) and have been making a living for years primarily through crawfish distribution. But, when September rolls around, the Landry's take advantage of the short alligator hunting season--as seen on History Channel. My husband watched 'Swamp People' before I had even heard of it. . and it only took one episode for me to get hooked! The series follows multiple alligator hunters in South Louisiana. Troy and his gang are my favorites for a couple reasons: he loves family and you don't see an episode where Troy doesn't show his love for his family and his life through his words and actions; The Landry family also knows how to celebrate with parties on the houseboat, with a fish fry, alligator stew, or a crab boil, there is always something exciting going on.

They were cutting up with each other while we were trying to take a photo, Jacob playfully slapping Troy in the back of the head right before the flash went off because Troy told me I would probably be able to "Choot tha Gata" better than Jacob can.
