Great Halloween Events in the SBC
There are several great events happening in the coming weeks as we close in on Halloween. Here are some of our favorites.
El Karubah Shriners presents Spooktacular on Friday, October 25th at 7 pm and Saturday, October 26th at 2 pm and 7 pm at the Strand Theater. Tickets are $60; $40; and $26.
Spooks, spectors, and scaredy cats, contort and cavort through a high flying circus of scare. Vampires soar, skeletons stagger, and arobatic cats, romp through a humourously haunted bizaar of the bizaar, Indulge your inner eerie in this family-friendly, bone chilling delight!
Haunted tours are being hosted at Municipal again this year. The local Auditorium is believed to be haunted by the ghosts of some musical greats and is considered one of America's most haunted buildings.
Some of the hauntings include a child, who likes to play peek-a-boo with the balcony door in the main lobby; slamming doors; ghostly guest named Mary, and many other unexplained occurrences. This 90-minute tour will delve into those. Who knows what you will see or hear on this tour.
A scary event which will actually be educational at the same time. It's being held at the Walter B. Jacobs Memorial Nature Park in Blanchard Saturday night, October 26th from 5-9pm.
This year's fun will feature night hikes, an insect hunt, arts and crafts, story time, live animals and much more. You can also enjoy "Cafe Insecta", where you can try some delicacies made from bugs.
This scary event is back this year. It's a community event whose goal is to both promote and benefit local charities and non-profits, so come out to the East Bank District & Plaza on Saturday, October 19th, for a spine tingling event featuring loads of unique vendors, guest speakers, a costume contest, live music, and door prizes! We also welcome Zombie bait of the four-legged variety.
This local, non-profit event celebrating a love for Zombies and all things rotting! It's Saturday, October 19th at the East Bank District in Bossier City from 4-9pm.
This Airline Drive Church in Bossier City has an extensive pumpkin patch. It will be open every day through October 31 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. (noon- 7 p.m. on Sundays). Admission is free, but bring money to purchase pumpkins and treats.
This Youree Drive Church has provided the community with the pumpkin patch since 1990. The pumpkins will arrive on October 1st. The pumpkin patch is open daily from 9am-7pm. The pumpkin patch will remain open till October 31st or until they sell out of Pumpkins. In the past twenty years, the Pumpkin Patch has donated about $200,000 to missions.
The 27th Anniversary of this community event is set for Tuesday October 22nd at Betty Virginia Park in Shreveport from 4:30-8:30. Hundreds of carved pumpkins shine along pathways of the park. Admission is free, and there is food and entertainment for all ages. Free iShuttle to the event will be available at Dillard’s (Mall St. Vincent) from 4:00-9:00pm. Concessions will be available for purchase, so make plans to hang out and enjoy the evening with dinner and play while you marvel at the creative pumpkin displays throughout the park!
Youngsters from all over Bossier Parish will take part in the Pumpkin Light Night on Tuesday, October 29th from 5-8pm with lots of fun activities for the kids.
Fall Festival from Sept.21-Oct. 31st. But a very special event is planned for Friday, October 25th. This is called the Last Will and Testament of Roland Kingsley. This is a murder mystery dinner that includes a 4 course steak dinner for all guests. Tickets are $75.00. The Maze is on the Sentell Road North of Shreveport.
This spooky event is back again this year and will be bigger and better than ever. This local event is back at the Louisiana Boardwalk near the bridge. This haunted house will feature a brand new show this year. Here are the dates it will be open:

Tickets are $15 online and at the door.
A new Monster's Ball is on the way, Friday, October 25th from 7pm-1am. Costumes are required for this event which will feature bloody good food by the new The Revenir Restaurant opening soon inside the Every Man’s A King Distillery, great music featuring The Jimmy Wooten Band, Dirtfoot, and direct from the undergrounds of New York City, the eclectic Gothic cabaret entertainer and artist, Aurelio Voltaire. Premium cocktails, Gothic décor and a bizarre bazaar featuring a myriad of artists will be part of the mysteriously magical night.
Donations of $125 per person will benefit the preservation of the Logan Mansion. Tickets are limited to 225. Valet Parking will be available.
This is an all ages Halloween party coming in Shreveport. It's called the Dance Of The Dead presented by The Digital Media Institute at InterTech, which will be held Saturday, October 26th at the old Broadmoor YMCA on Carroll Street in Shreveport.
Doors open for the event at 6:30pm.
