Shreveport company, Twin Engine Labs won the 2011 Governor's Technology Award for "Rising Star of the Year".

Governor Bobby Jindal gave co-founders, twin brothers Ken and Keith Hanson the statewide honor recognizing them for their roles in helping position Louisiana as one of the nation’s fastest growing centers for technology. Four other companies were also in the running with Twin Engine Labs.
To compete for "Rising Star of the Year", applicants had to be an entrepreneurial firm, located in Louisiana, whose products and services offer unique and promising technologies and may become a future economic
driver for the state.

The awards focused on software, internet and telecommunications, medical and biotech, manufacturing, and more.

The Governor’s Technology Awards ceremony was hosted by the Louisiana Technology Council in partnership with Louisiana Economic Development.
