I finally did it! I lived out my childhood dream of rocking a Girl Scout vest and shouting, "Come get your cookies!" But honestly? I didn’t even have to yell, those cookies basically sell themselves. Our local troop crushed a record, moving 426 boxes in under three hours!

We just wrapped up National Girl Scout Day on March 12, marking 114 years of building girls with courage and character. While some troops across the country are getting creative with "Full Flavor Flights," here in the 318, we are all about that booth life.

If you missed us at the table, don’t panic, there is an "epic hack" to get your fix. You don't have to wait for shipping! Simply go to the Girl Scout website, punch in your zip code, and it will show you exactly where and when local troops are set up. You can be tearing into a box before you even leave the parking lot. Click here to go to the website.

And you have to try the new 2026 flavor: Exploremores! It’s a Rocky Road-inspired sandwich cookie with chocolate, marshmallow, and toasted almond-flavored crème. It’s basically a campfire in a cookie, and it is a total game-changer.

Huge thanks to our local scouts for letting me join the squad. Go support these future leaders and grab a box (or ten)!

History Of Geek'd Con Guests

Geek'd Con is Shreveport's biggest comic and pop culture event. Launching in 2015, the event quickly became one of the premiere comic con style events in the entire state of Louisiana.

A big part of that growth has been the celebrity guest lineups. Since the first show in 2015, the quality of guests attending Geek'd Con rivals any pop culture event of this size. From classic Star Wars stars to guests from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Geek'd Con has welcomed the biggest names from multiple generations.

Because there have been SO MANY guests since 2015, we can include all of them here. This is just a look at the history of guests at Geek'd Con.
