Fuel Prices 40 Cents Lower Year-to-Year
This time last year, we were paying a pretty penny for gas. 40 pretty pennies more, to be exact.
There's a lot of reason s to complain these days, but at least for us in Louisiana, fuel prices are not on that list. Statewide, our fuel prices are low and getting lower by the day. On Labor Day last year, our state was, on average, paying 40 cents more on gas per gallon!
As of right now, Louisiana’s current statewide average is $2.19, while the national average is $2.58 a gallon. Industry experts expect our prices to get even lower as we wrap-up the year, with some experts predicting gas will hit below $2.00 a gallon.
So what are you waiting on? Fill up that tank and hit the road this Labor Day!
