Here are the details regarding the current ban on fireworks in Kiss Country. With no hope of significant rain between now and July 4th, we will keep you updated on changes to the current areas enforcing a ban on fireworks. There are areas in Kiss Country where you will be able to enjoy fireworks on Independence Day including Webster, Natchitoches and Caddo Parishes (with the exception of the City of Shreveport). The fireworks ban is currently in effect for all of Bossier Parish and the City of Shreveport.

The big Independence Day Celebration in Shreveport on the Red River will still be happening with close supervision of the Shreveport Fire Department and licensed pyrotechnicians.

Listen to Shreveport Fire Chief Brian Crawford as he explains the continuance of the Independence Festival fireworks display as it relates to the fireworks ban in the City of Shreveport.
