Firefighter Arrested for Robbing Shreveport Fire Station
A off-duty Firefighter is behind bars today after being accused of robbing a fire station in north Shreveport on Friday morning. Just before noon, Shreveport police were called to to Fire Station 4 after on-duty firefighters found 32 year old Atlanta, Texas native Michael Keener rummaging through a secured storage cabinet. Allegedly, Keener had come in earlier and asked to use the restroom. At some point he reportedly gained access to an unauthorized area, where he was caught trying to steal some unnamed property.
The available details are few and far between at this point, but KSLA did report that Michael Keener is a Shreveport Firefighter, and that he's currently on administrative leave. This isn't the first time Keener has been in trouble with the law and his job. Back in 2013, he was arrested and charged with one count of malfeasance in office and one count of acquiring a controlled dangerous substance by fraud for stealing drugs while on job while working as a part-time paramedic for the North Caddo Medical Center.
