Drew Brees Brings Flag Football League to Bossier City
Big news for youngsters in the area. Former New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees has announced he is bringing his youth football league to Bossier City. Brees is teaming up with First Bossier Baptist Church to bring Football N America to our community.
Brees says
We are proud to be partnering with First Baptist to bring Football ‘N’ America to Bossier City. FNA is all about Friends, Family and Football, and will provide a great opportunity for the children and families in the community to enjoy the game of football.
The league is a place where youngsters can learn the game in a safe and family friendly environment. There is also a league in Shreveport and they are in the middle of the spring season. The Shreveport games are played at LSU-Shreveport.
Registration opens on May 15th. Click here to sign your children up to play.
Drew Brees Is Also Bringing His Surge Entertainment Center to Bossier
The fun factor in Bossier City is going up. A Surge Entertainment Center is set to open in Pierre Bossier Mall. Surge is partially owned by Drew Brees. The complex will open in the former site of Virginia College at the Mall. It will be a 43,000 complex which features bowling, golf simulators, trampolines, karaoke rooms and much more.
Brees has been actively involved in opening businesses that feature family entertainment with good food.
There are 11 Surge locations throughout the South. There is one in Metairie, Lafayette and another in West Monroe. There has been talk for a year about bringing a Surge to Shreveport, but the company apparently found a better option in Bossier City.
