Where to Dine Outside with Your Dog in Shreveport and Bossier City
My dog Olive is almost 16 years old, and she is truly my absolute ride-or-die. I mean that literally, too, "ride" is her single favorite word in the English language and her absolute favorite activity. Of course, her ultimate loyalties are pretty easy to buy; she will happily trade me for a hot chicken nugget without a second thought!
Olive is convinced that the absolute best days are the ones that involve a car ride and a random lunch date with me. Unfortunately, that often means I end up rolling through drive-thrus way more often than I should. But let's be real: sometimes a fast-food drive-thru just doesn't hit the spot.
When I find myself clear across town, the thought of settling for another mediocre drive-thru meal makes me wince. What I really need is a quick, delicious spot where we can pop in for lunch on a nice patio, without me constantly stressing or worrying about someone misinterpreting her taking a nap in the car while I grab my food.
With patio weather returning, I plan to keep taking my sweet girl everywhere with me. I know our time together is precious, and every single outing with her is a memory I want to hold onto.
Before you head out, remember that just because a restaurant has an outdoor seating area doesn't mean you can automatically plop down with your pet. To save you the hassle, here is a list of local Shreveport-Bossier spots where you and your well-behaved pup are genuinely welcome:
Flying Heart Brewing & Pub (Bossier City)
Ki' Mexico (Shreveport)
The Seventh Tap Brewing Co. (Shreveport)
Marilynn's Place (Shreveport)
Rhino Coffee (Shreveport)
