Most don't want to admit it, because people have died due to the pandemic, but they miss having extra alone time. I've seen a ton of memes and jokes on social media about naturally introverted folks having to come up with new excuses for not wanting to leave the house. I'm personally an extroverted introvert. After a big event, I need time to recharge my batteries and being a horse owner, I always have a valid excuse not to go anywhere. Plus, living off of the beaten path has its advantages when it comes to unexpected visitors.

It sounds like I don't like people, but that's not true. I'm just comfortable with my own company and can entertain myself for hours quietly reading a book. With that being said, my lifestyle didn't really change much during the pandemic. I went to work every day and I hung out around the farm. I realize that's not true for everyone, but it seems I'm not alone in wanting things to slow down just a scootch. Yes, I want life to get back to normal, but I'd be okay if our new normal was just a little less hectic with more 'me' time. Here's what a few of my friends said about living a peaceful home life on social media.

You got that right! I can be considered a homebody at times

This is why I would never complain about 3 more months of pandemic quarantine. It was wonderful!!
