Willis-Knighton Health System confirms the purchase of the property formerly known as Bossier Medical Center. The health system is currently reviewing opportunities to use the building to further enhance healthcare for residents of Bossier City and Bossier Parish. The purchase of the property assures that it will no longer be neglected but will be a welcomed part of a vibrant, growing community.

Since Willis-Knighton is a not-for-profit corporation, the property will continue to be part of the public trust and the taxpayers of Bossier City who funded it will continue to share in its ownership as it serves the community. The property has been an important part of the lives of many families in Bossier, and its purchase by Willis-Knighton assures that it will not be torn down and that its mission will remain health-related.

As soon as decisions are finalized regarding its use, WK officials look forward to announcing additional services they plan to bring to Bossier residents as part of the Willis-Knighton’s continued commitment to healthcare in the community. -Willis Knighton Health System
