I need to start off by saying that I am fully vaccinated and I still honor and respect businesses that are asking us to wear masks when entering their business. However, I wish there was a bracelet I could wear that could help me get away with not wearing a mask because the amount of times I have had to run back to my car to grab my mask just within this past month is rather embarrassing.

I like many Americans leaped for joy when I found out what the CDC had to say earlier today. The updated CDC mask guidance is giving all those who have fully vaccinated the ability to walk around without a mask. However, the judgmental looks that we get from mask shamers may stick around.

According to the CDC website, those who have received both vaccines are free to ditch the masks in both indoor and outdoor settings. Here is what the website said, "Fully vaccinated people no longer need to wear a mask or physically distance in any setting, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance."

The update also said that those who are vaccinated don't need to keep testing for COVID-19. The update read "Fully vaccinated people can refrain from testing following a known exposure unless they are residents or employees of a correctional or detention facility or a homeless shelter."

Stacker used data from the 2020 County Health Rankings to rank every state's average life expectancy from lowest to highest. The 2020 County Health Rankings values were calculated using mortality counts from the 2016-2018 National Center for Health Statistics. The U.S. Census 2019 American Community Survey and America's Health Rankings Senior Report 2019 data were also used to provide demographics on the senior population of each state and the state's rank on senior health care, respectively.

Read on to learn the average life expectancy in each state.
