Here’s Your Chance to Be in a Big Screen Movie in Shreveport Area
Your chance to land a role on a big screen feature film is here. M. Night Shyamalan is producing a movie in our area and he is looking for locals for several of the roles in the film. Shyamalan is famous for the blockbuster movies "Sixth Sense," and "Signs." The Academy Award winner is now making a movie based around Caddo Lake in the Ark-La-Tex.
A casting call is being held at the Marshall Public Library on August 28, but all of the slots for that open call are filled. Another open call is being planned for Shreveport, but details are still being worked out. But you can still submit an online application to be in the movie. The working title of this new movie is called "Untitled Caddo Lake Film." Film makers are looking for dozens of locals from the Shreveport and East Texas areas around Caddo Lake. There are more than 40 paid roles to cast in our area and many of them will have speaking roles in the movie. Your involvement will only be for a couple of days, in most cases.
This movie will be the second feature film from directors Celine Held and Logan George of ELO FILMS. They were named among Filmmaker Magazine’s 25 New Faces of Independent Film in 2017.
You don’t need any experience to try out for these roles. All online auditions will be reviewed.
The movie is expected to begin production in October.
They are also encouraging real, authentic people and group auditions with friends and family.
You might be wondering about the story in this movie. It’s about an 8 year old girl who mysteriously disappears on Caddo Lake. Her story is then linked to several past disappearances and deaths in the area.
