A screenshot from what appears to be Snapchat has been making its rounds on social media threatening violence at C.E. Byrd High School. The post says "It's supposed to be a school shooter tomorrow at CE Byrd. Don't go to school. I'm not joking." School officials say that the threat is not credible but officers were still at the school today.

"There is no credible threat against C.E. Byrd High School. School administrators and law enforcement were made aware of a social media posting which centered around a photo circulating involving a case in Indiana. The threat was investigated and determined to be unsubstantiated, however, additional officers were placed at the school today in an abundance of caution." - Mary Nash Wood, Caddo Parish Public Schools

This is not the first time threats have been made at the school.  In 2015 a 17 year old was arrested for making terror threats.

A school in Texarkana has similar threats warning for students not to go to school on the 8th. A post threatening violence at Texas High on Wednesday appears to be taken the same way as the one at Byrd via Snapchat this time with writing in the school bathroom.

Just like in Shreveport officials in Texarkana are saying it seems to be a prank and not credible but for the students protection the school says they're stepping up security for the rest of the week.
