Could Strong Rains End More Burn Bans In North Louisiana?
Bossier Parish and Webster Parish have just joined Caddo Parish and pulled the plugs on their parish-wide burn ban.
Taking to their Facebook page to make the announcement, the Bossier Parish Police Jury stated that President Philip Rodgers has rescinded the State of Emergency burn ban for Bossier Parish, issued on October 16 at the request of parish fire chiefs.
Just moments ago on their Facebook page, the Webster Parish Police Jury announced that at the recommendation of the Webster Parish Fire Chiefs Association, the Burn Ban for Webster Parish that was declared on October 16, 2024 has been lifted.
Of course, this announcement follows the announcement from Caddo Parish that effective Friday, November 1, they would be lifting the burn ban for that area.
While these three parishes have rescinded burn bans for those areas, a number of other North Louisiana parishes are still under the confines of burn bans which outlaws any outdoor burning.
Among those parishes still under burn bans are DeSoto, Red River, Bienville, Natchitoches, Sabine, Claiborne and Lincoln.
