In January 2019, Bossier Parish Sheriff's Deputy and School Resource Officer Deputy Golden was hit by a car while directing traffic. Now, he's back on the job and having fun!

The accident happened Thursday, January 24, 2019, while Golden was directing traffic in front of Platt and T.L. Rodes Elementary in Haughton on HWY 80. Deputy Golden was severely injured and the community, as well as his fellow officers, rallied around him during his recovery. Needless to say, Deputy Golden is very popular, especially with the kids at T.L. Rodes... which you can see in the video above!

We're so happy to see him back in action and protecting our youth during their school day. We love that he's not afraid to cut up with the kids and show them law enforcement officers aren't something to be feared.

What a great guy! Thank you, Deputy, for all that you do and we are so happy you've recovered from your injuries!
