Bossier Cops Looking For 2 Women Stealing From Dollar General
For the past couple of years there has been a considerable number of people who have voiced their unhappiness with some big time retailers for using "Self Checkout" in lieu of staffing that checkout line with a bonified employee.
This case will certainly fuel that fire as another reason why the "Self Checkout" option might not be the best of ideas.
In a report from the Bossier City Police Property Crimes Division, it is alleged that two to three times a week, the two women pictured above would visit the Dollar General store at 5500 Barksdale Boulevard in Bossier City.
The two are accused of filling a shopping cart with multiple items and then, by using the store's "Self Checkout" they would only pay for a few of the items in the cart and steal the remaining items.
Finally, Store Employees Figured Out What Was Going On
Police were told that once store employees caught on to the scheme, staff would shut down the self checkout aisle when the two women would come into the store.
On July 7, the report indicates that the two females again visited this Dollar General and one of the females became extremely agitated that the self checkout was unavailable and left all of the items from her cart at the counter. As she walked out of the store she grabbed a 20 ounce Sprite and walked out with it.
