Taylor Coffey has been arrested for allegedly shooting his estranged wife in the stomach. According to detectives from the Bossier Sheriff's office, the shooting happened around noon Monday in the 100 block of Vos road.

After an investigation, detectives were able to determine the shoot was not accidental and began searching the woods around the home for Coffey, who they believed was involved.

Following an intense search, deputies found Coffey hiding in a neighbor's home. They also found the gun used in the shooting that Coffey allegedly tried to dispose of.

Coffey was arrested on charges of aggravated 2nd degree battery (domestic abuse battery); obstruction of justice; and possession of marijuana. The neighbor, Brandy Mendoza, was also arrested for obstruction of justice.

The 20 year old woman is expected to make a full recovery.
