I’ve always sworn that the absolute best menu items are the ones you won't find on the printed page. There’s a certain thrill in ordering a "secret" dish that makes you feel like a total local insider.

Well, one of my favorite secrets is officially out in the open, and while I’m a little annoyed that I can’t feel quite as cool ordering it anymore, I am absolutely giddy to know that this hidden gem is finally being loudly celebrated at BeauxJax Crafthouse.

Now, don't get me wrong, we all love BeauxJax for the essentials. Their crawfish is legendary, and let’s be real, those Game Day Nachos are no joke. I’m still convinced that ordering those nachos with half pulled pork and half bourbon chicken makes the best combination.

Between the over-the-top Po-boys and that addictive Bourbon Chicken, it’s hard to go wrong. But if you want to know what the real "if you know, you know" champion is, it’s the Cajun Hibachi.

The Cajun Hibachi is a literal thing of beauty. Imagine a massive bed of rice piled high with perfectly seasoned bell peppers and onions. Then, they hit it with the best of both worlds: half Bourbon Chicken and half Cajun Shrimp. To top it all off, they smother the entire thing in that famous BeauxJax queso, the same liquid gold we all obsess over on the nachos.

We love it when a crowd favorite is so undeniable that it literally demands its own permanent spot on the menu. While the secret might be out, the flavor is better than ever. It has me wondering: what other off-menu items are you currently loving in Shreveport-Bossier?
