There are two very important and unfortunate stories we all need to be aware of right now in Shreveport. Reports of a possible child predator in East Shreveport and also in Shreveport a woman claims she was pulled over on Youree Drive last night by a man who was impersonating a police officer.

Shreveport police have received multiple reports of a white male in his mid to late 30's who is attempting to lure children into his vehicle. Thank the good Lord, to our knowledge, he has not succeeded yet. The reported suspect is driving a red, four-door sedan. The reports of this suspicious activity have occurred in the Broadmoor and Dixie Garden areas. Take a few moments and warn your children and neighbors about this possible predator. If you have any information give Crimestoppers a call at 318-673-7373.

Last night around 9 pm a woman was pulled over on Youree Drive by a man driving a black and white Crown Victoria complete with siren and flashing lights. The man asked the woman to step out of her car and as the impersonator began to search and "fondle" the woman she began resisting him. He eventually fled the scene and the woman reported the crime. The woman described the white male, who was wearing a navy uniform, as weighing around 200 pounds with reddish brown short hair and a goatee.

For safety, please be sure to always try to pull over in a well lit area.  If you have any information give Crimestoppers a call at 318-673-7373.
