Attempted Rapist Receives 30 Years In Prison
Last summer, Caddo District Court convicted a Shreveport man of attempted simple rape. Tuesday, he was sentenced to thirty years in prison.
43-year-old Johnny Lee Young will face all thirty years in prison without the benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence. He also will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
His conviction in June of 2016 stemmed from the sexual assault of an acquaintance in her home on September 7, 2014.
Tuesday's sentence will run consecutively to a prior three-year sentence on an unrelated matter. He was sentenced as a second felony offender.
