On Wednesday night, Arkansas was one out away from winning a National Championship in baseball. They were one out away from winning the College World Series. They had their chance, everything they asked for, a pop up to end the game...and then this happened...

Which then brings us to Thursday night, where Oregon State won its third national championship in baseball with a 5-0 victory over Arkansas, in the decisive third game of the College World Series finals.

If Arkansas were to have made that catch, it would have ended the series, not just the game, and would have given them the National Championship. Missing the catch gave the Beavers the life they needed, and they took advantage last night.

Underclassmen Adley Rutschman and Kevin Abel powered the Beavers, who needed none of the dramatics on display Wednesday in a ninth-inning rally that denied the Razorbacks their first title in the sport.
