Caddo Parish Sheriff Steve Prator says that the search for James Salone is over. According to the Sheriff, authorities found the body of a man believed to be Salone in a home in the Cedar Grove neighborhood late Thursday afternoon. During the search of the area, Woodlawn High School was placed on lock down and a strong police and sheriff's presence was seen in the area.

Salone was wanted for breaking into his ex-girlfriend's house in Keithville, tying up her family and shooting a man that she was living with. However, as the investigation progressed yesterday, it is also now believed that Salone shot and killed a man earlier this week in Waskom, Texas and stole his car. That stolen car was found near Columbia Park a short time before the discovery of Salone's body.

At this time the Caddo Sheriff's Office and Harrison County Sheriff's Office are working together to confirm that Salone was responsible for the Waskom slaying. An investigation into the matter is on going.
