2 Shreveport Police Officers Arrested

Two Shreveport police officers have been arrested and both are now on leave.

Officer Delandro Washington was booked Saturday by SPD after allegations were made about improper telephone communications, improper language and harassment. He was arrested by Domestic Violence Officers.

Officer Jaquerus Turner was also arrested Saturday by Domestic Violence investigators. He is accused of domestic abuse battery and domestic abuse battery with child endangerment.

Turner and Washington were placed on departmental leave pending further investigation which is standard practice.

Chief Ben Raymond says "A full administrative inquiry into the incident will take place following the criminal investigation."
