Detectives are searching for clues in the latest violence of the new year in Shreveport.  Two men were killed in the incident at Jewella and West 70th street just before 3:30 Sunday morning.

Officers report two groups of men began shooting at each other before fleeing the area. Police then got a call about a man wounded on Randolph Street. He was pronounced dead at that scene.

Witnesses report seeing some folks hanging out in a shopping center parking lot when one vehicle pulled up and blocked off the exit while another car pull up and someone inside opened fire.

Another man was rushed to the hospital where he later died.

Three other men were also wounded during the shooting. They were each rushed to the hospital by private car.

Police are searching for suspects at this hour.
