If you are in the market for some new wheels for your Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac, or really any GM vehicle - be careful who you are buying from.  Last week, Matt Bowers Chevy in Slidell, Louisiana was hit by a pair of thieves that knew exactly what they were looking for.  Slidell police estimate that the duo made off with about $120,000 in aluminum wheels, leaving 31 cars up on wooden blocks.  Even though the thieves are clearly seen on video, they may have committed the perfect crime.  If they are not caught with the entire haul, there really is no way of tying the brand new wheels and tires to the robbery.

Make no mistake, the well planned burglary took the technical know-how to defeat locks, alarms, surveillance video and more.  Reportedly, the duo somehow manipulated the exterior lights in the parking lot so they could work in the dark.  These professionals also knew their exact target - 20 inch wheels and tires.  All of the loot was loaded into a U-Haul trailer, and the thieves were gone.  No word on a connection with the rented trailer or on any leads police have in the case.  The crooks were kind enough to leave behind the lug-nuts.

The owners of Matt Bowers Chevrolet are offering a $25,000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest of these wheely really bad guys.
