There's a new line of ice cream with a spirited twist.

In Louisiana there are a gazillion reasons to celebrate. Heck, we have an entire season that is one big party called Mardi Gras. This usually involves some kind of libations to complement the fun. Now there's a way to celebrate with ice cream.

Haagen-Dazs has just released a new line of alcohol-infused ice cream.

Each contains less than 0.5 percent alcohol per volume so don't expect to get too crazy off of these. Of course, that would all depend on how much ice cream you typically consume. For me, it's about two scoops past unreasonable.

The new flavors are:

Irish Creme Brownie
Rum Tres Leches
Bourbon Vanilla Bean Truffle
Stout Chocolate Pretzel Crunch
Bourbon Praline Pecan

There is also a non-dairy option of Amaretto Black Cherry Almond Toffee and a cookie treat called Irish Cream Cookie Squares. The line will officially be in stores in the US in April, but we hear you can get these in Canada where the line has been available for a year and a half. Select Haagen-Dazs specialty stores will have the product in March.
