Some of my greatest Christmas memories are just chilling in front of the TV with my brothers watching great Holiday classics. Here’s a list of some of my favorites and when they’ll be on TV going into Christmas week. Just in case you get busy and need to plant the kids in front of the TV for a bit.

Friday 12/20:

  • "National Lampoons Christmas Vacation" -- 8:00 ABC Family
  • "It's a Wonderful Life" -- 7:00 on NBC
  • "Happiness is a Warm Blanket, Charlie Brown" -- 8:00 on Fox.
  • "Christmas at Belmont 2013" -- 9:00 on PBS. A musical presentation by Belmont University students includes traditional carols, classical pieces and seasonal favorites.

Sat 12/21:

  • "I Want a Dog for Christmas Charlie Brown" -- 7:00 on ABC.

Sun 12/22:

  • "The Sound Of Music" -- 6:00 on ABC. This is the original 1965 version starring Julie Andrews as Maria and Christopher Plummer as Captain Von Trapp.

Mon 12/23:

  • "Shrek the Halls" -- 7:00 on ABC
  • "A Chipmunk Christmas" -- 7:30 on ABC.

Tues 12/24:

  • "The Santa Clause" -- Marathon of all three movies, starting at 4:00 ABC Family.
  • "It's a Wonderful Life" -- 7:00 on NBC.
  • Both the animated and live action versions of "Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas" are on ABC. The animated "Grinch" is at 7:00, and Jim Carrey's live-action version is 7:30.
  • "A Christmas Story" -- The marathon starts at 7:00 on TBS.

Wed 12/25:

  • "A Christmas Story" -- The 24-hour marathon continues on TBS.
  • "National Lampoons Christmas Vacation" -- 8:00 ABC Family
