The Bossier Sheriff Department has made an arrest concerning the "Women of Diversity" organization case. On August 18th Bossier Sheriff Julian Whittington sent letters to multiple churches alerting pastors about Brenda Hill and Jeannie Herman operating under the name "Women of Diversity". Sheriff Whittington said "The executive director has a history of scamming people and has been charged and convicted of fraud and financial crimes while conducting business under a similar name. As Sheriff, I want to ensure our residents are aware of this information so they can avoid becoming victims as well.” The organization had been going to churches asking for donations for their "recovery house" that is located in the old Budgetel in Bossier City. Unbeknownst to several pastors and churches in the area, Brenda Hill was arrested in 2014 and convicted of bank fraud while operating under the "Women of Diversity LLC" organization. Hill was paroled in January of 2016 and isn't off of parole until 2021.

The Bossier Sheriff's detectives arrested Brenda Hill on eighty eight counts of Monetary Instrument Abuse and Hill's bond is at $250,000. The investigation remains open, with the possibility of more charges.
