Apparently there's a little lady in Phoenix who feels much like me and though I can't condone her actions, I applaud the fact that she took a stand for "Merry Christmas" while the rest of the world seems okay with "Happy Holidays."

According to ABC15 in Phoenix, Kristina Vindiola, a Salvation Army bell ringer, says a woman hit her outside Wal-Mart after she said "Happy Holidays."

"The lady looked at me,” said Vindiola. “I thought she was going to put money in the kettle. She came up to me and said, 'Do you believe in God?' And she says, ‘You're supposed to say Merry Christmas,' and that's when she hit me."

Vindiola says the woman hit her in the arm and then went inside the store. She told a manager who then called police.  Police then viewed surveillance footage of the incident but apparently couldn't find enough supportive evidence to arrest the woman.

The Salvation Army says it doesn't have a policy as to what its bell ringers should say.  They can use either ‘Merry Christmas’ or ‘Happy Holidays.'

I'm not gonna start hitting people, but I hope you'll join with me and say MERRY CHRISTMAS!
