The Kentucky Derby is about to get a little Louisiana Spice this year, as a New Orleans native is slated to sing the National Anthem. Here's the scoop from the Louisiana Radio Network:

"Grammy, Emmy award-winning entertainer and New Orleans native Harry Connick Jr. will sing the national anthem at the Kentucky Derby next month."

Even though the Derby is a high-profile gig, it won't be the biggest National Anthem performance for Harry. If you remember back to Super Bowl XXVI in Minneapolis, you may recall his soulful rendition of the Anthem there...
