Well way back in the 80s, a show called “Puttin’ On The Hits” ran for several years, hosted by Allen Fawcett. “Puttin’ On The Hits” was just like “Lip Sync Battle” — two people, often in costumes, acted-out and lip sync’d big songs. The only real difference is these people were not famous and they fake-sang for cash prizes (and a videotape of their performance!).
