What Is The Worst Family Pet?
This morning we mentioned a story about a father who found the neighbor’s python wrapped around his child in the crib. Thankfully the child is okay, we don’t know (or care) how the snake is. This got us thinking about what are the worst pets to have around your children?
Growing up we had an interesting mix of critters in and around the house including: Tammy the monkey, Arnold the pot bellied pig, two parrots, goats, horses, cattle, dogs, geese, etc. I recommend against buying a monkey for your children, turns out they are dirty, dirty poo throwing machines.
Of course, the most popular of all family pets would be man’s best friend. We have two of what I believe to be the best family friendly dogs around: Labrador Retrievers. Katie is a black Lab and Drake is a crazed chocolate Lab. Our furry babies make the list of most popular dog breeds for families along with Pugs, Golden Retrievers and Newfoundlands.
Among the worst dog breeds for families we found are: Chow Chow, Chihuahua, Doberman, Border Collie.
