Throw me something Mister!!!!  With Mardi Gras in full swing now, that's the most common phrase of the week!  The Krewe of Centaur Parade rolled through Shreveport this past Saturday and the Krewe Of Gemini Parade will hit the streets starting this Saturday, February 9 at 4:30pm.  But once all the festivities are over and Lent has begun, what do you do with all those Mardi Gras beads?  There's literally thousands of them and they have absolutely no value....or do they?

At the McCoy house, they're used for the Mardi Gras tree (the Christmas tree miraculously converted to keep from taking it down).

They're used for next year's Mardi Gras wreaths and the purple and gold ones are used for next year's LSU game day decorations.

According to MardiGrasNewOrleans.com recycling the beads is usually your best bet.  Unless, you're an artist...then you might want to view this video...
