Caddo and Webster Parishes go back to school Monday so this is the last official weekend of summer. It’s the last weekend as well for a few of the local farmers markets so if’ you’ve been putting that off don’t do it any longer. Plus, there are a number of things you can do this weekend to help raise money for some very nobles causes. Check out all the great events below.

South Highlands Summer Market: Mall St Vincent is having it's last new summertime Open-Air Market tonight from 5:00 to 9:00 pm under a large tent outside the mall adjacent to the historic St. Vincent Academy.(more)

Back to School Music Fest:  Holiday Lanes in Bossier City.  The School of Rock DFW Summer Music Tour is stopping at Holiday Lanes. Come bowl and hear the top tier talent coming out of the national music program. After the School of Rock performance, listen to Landry & Company as they rock the house. (more)

Bill Cosby at The Horseshoe Riverdome: Shows starts at 8pm. Shreveport Farmers Market: The Saturday morning event at Festival Plaza kicks off at 7am features live music, homegrown fruits and vegetables. As well as, jams, jellies, prepared food, art and more. (more)

Haughton Farmer’s Market: It’s the last weekend for the Haughton Market & Artisan Fair. It’s being held this Saturday, August 9, at Country Place Subdivision in Haughton at the clubhouse from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (more)

3-D Archery Shoot: From 8-12 Saturday at Red River Bowmen Archery Club is open to Public. Twenty-six 3-D lifelike targets set at varying distances on outdoor range. Fourteen classes from adult to youth well provided. (more)

Louisiana Skeeter Run: First United Methodist Church Shreveport Saturday All proceeds Imagine No Malaria. 10K begins at 7am, 5k at 7:15 a.m. and the 1 mile fun run at 7:20 a.m. Afterwards, enjoy fun festivities for all ages on the First Shreveport campus. Cost is $20 for adults and $10 for 18 & under. (more)

Special Olympics 14th Annual Trivia Nite: Saturday August 9th at the Horseshoe Riverdome on Saturday August 9th. Tickets and tables are still available for purchase for the 14th annual fundraiser. Doors open at 5:30 with dinner starting at 6. Trivia kicks off promptly at 7pm. (more)
