The Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office have arrested two people for felony theft, but is still on the hunt for a Haughton man. The charges stem from the theft of rebar metal from a Haughton business over the past month. The two others who accompanied him in the crimes have already been jailed.

The BPSO sent out a press release with details about the man:

Jackie Berry, 53, who had been living at the 3100 block of Highway 80 in Haughton, is wanted for stealing approximately 46,260 pounds of rebar metal pipes from Strong Backhoe Services, Inc., on Highway 80 in Haughton, earlier this month. Jackie has multiple tattoos on his body, including his right arm, upper left arm and right arm, back, chest, right forearm and right shoulder.

The two others already arrested in the case were living with Jackie. Cynthia Berry, 34, wife of Jackie, was arrested on Sept. 24 on felony theft charges and booked into the Bossier Maximum Security Facility; she has since bonded out of jail. Ronnie Robinson, 64, was arrested on Sept. 23 on felony theft charges; he remains incarcerated.

All three suspects lived together in a mobile home near the business they were employed and ultimately stole from; the business owner had even provided them with the place to stay. Deputies determined through their initial investigation that the trio left a trail from a backhoe that they used to steal and transport the rebar metal from the business to the nearby mobile home trailer. Deputies also found a black Dodge Truck with several verified stolen pieces of rebar in the bed of the truck.

More from the Bossier Sheriff's Office:

When deputies made contact with Ronnie, he confessed to stealing the rebar pipe with the other two. A short time later, deputies contacted Cynthia at the residence where it appeared she was in the process of moving, and she also confessed to being a part of the theft. Ronnie, Cynthia and Jackie would then sell the stolen pipe to various scrap yards it the area.

Jackie has yet to be located, and detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating him. He has an extensive criminal history, including burglary, theft and being a fugitive from justice, and he is known to use various dates of birth. Detectives believe Cynthia, who is pregnant and bonded out of jail, is with Jackie, and the two of them might still be in the local area or possibly in the Kilgore, Texas, area.

If anyone has any information about the whereabouts of Jackie Berry or even Cynthia Berry, please contact Bossier Crime Stoppers with your anonymous tip at (318) 424-4100.
