Two men are recovering from gunshot wounds and three others face numerous charges in connection with a shooting in downtown Shreveport early this morning.

Police say just after 4:20 a.m., patrol officers were called to the 300 block of Clyde Fant Parkway, near the downtown casinos, to reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they found 21-year-old Fabian Baldwin and 22-year-old LaKendrick Wilson suffering at least one gunshot wound each after the vehicle they were riding in was fired on along the 100 block of Clyde Fant. Both men were taken to University Health with non-life-threatening wounds.

During the early stages of their investigation, detectives found out Baldwin and Wilson were two of four occupants inside a Chevy Silverado that was fored upon by at least one occupant inside a Chevy Trailblazer. The two other occupants in the Silverado were not wounded.

It's believed the shooting resulted from some sort of argument between occupants of both vehicles moments before the shots were fired. Immediately following the shooting, the suspects drove away, headed north on Clyde Fant, where they crashed their vehicle near Airport Drive and ran off on foot.

Patrol officers and a police K-9 tracked down the four men in the Trailblazer near a business in the 800 block of Airport Drive. They also found several weapons near the crash site that were believed to have been used in the crime.

21-year-old Devin Washington, 21-year-old Johnathan Coffee and 21-year-old O.B. Washington, all of Shreveport, were arrested. Devin faces two counts of attempted first degree murder. Coffee is charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm, and O.B. is charged with illegal use of a weapon. A fourth man detained during the incident was not charged, but the investigation is ongoing.
