The Warrior Network to Hold Huge 5K and Fireworks This Saturday
The Warrior Network is simply a family. A family for those warriors who are so far from their own family while they serve here at our Barksdale Air Force Base. Trey McGuire got a vision from God to help these men and women while they are here serving in our community and he hasn't taken that job lightly.
Constantly looking for ways to improve these warrior's lives, The Warrior Network is now focused on the coming holidays. The Warrior Network is actively raising funds to help send young airmen stationed at Barksdale Air Force Base home for Christmas.
It's the "Operation Bright Holiday 5K and Fireworks" event and it'll be held this Saturday evening, September 23 at 7:00 pm at Christ Fit Gym in Bossier! This will include a 5K run, a HUGE 13 minute professional fireworks show, music, food, inflatables, and more and is for both military and civilians!

There are 3 different ways you can help!
1. RUN OR WALK THE 5K. Runners or walkers get the ENTIRE evening for just a $25 registration fee ($5 military discount). Kids are ok, strollers are ok.
Preregistration for the run ends the evening of Thursday, September 21. Packet pick-up will be at Christ Fit Gym between 9:00am and 3:00pm on Friday, September 22. You can register in person at packet pick up. You can also register in person the night of the event beginning at 5:30pm.
2. ATTEND THE EVENT. Don't want to run, that's ok. Come out and enjoy the event, cheer on the runners, and take in the fun and fireworks show. All we ask is that you make a $10 donation per person age 16 and over at the gate (15 and under get in free). Plan to bring a lawn chair with you! You can sign up on our website to just attend (but you don't have to).
3. MAKE A DONATION. Want to just donate toward the cause?!? That would be AMAZING and go far to help us meet our goal.

All funds raised from this event will be donated to the Company Grade Officers Council at Barksdale Air Force Base to support their Operation Bright Holiday initiative.
