The Birds and Bees – Remember The Talk?
Hey it’s Gary. Had to have “The Talk” with my youngest son, Colt, last night. He’s only 10 and it was kind of weird. It was the last time I’ll have to do that. And it’s been different each time. With my oldest son Buddy, I think he was around 11 or 12 and seemed like he already knew more than he should have. Craig, the middle boy, was about 9. And his Mom and I both knew he knew way too much, way too early. Colt is our innocent baby. I don’t really know what prompted me to have “the talk”, I just knew it was time. There we were finishing dinner; totally unaware of the impending danger just minutes away. Kind of like swimming in the ocean with a great white shark just a few feet under you. Thank goodness that Craig, now 13, was there to fill in the blanks for us. He knows everything you know. Remember getting “The Talk” yourself? Who gave it to you?
