Moving to the Shreveport / Bossier City area was a culture shock for me.  Keep in mind that I moved here roughly 5 years ago from East Texas.  I was in Tyler, which is only about 2 and 1/2 hours away by car.  That means I visited Shreveport on numerous occasions - but living here has its own set of rules that I am just now starting to understand.

In that vein, I thought it could be helpful for those who are still fresh to the Ratchet City (Shreveport's nickname) to lay down the unwritten law of the town.  Honestly, even if you are a life-long resident, it wouldn't hurt for all of us to brush up on the finer points of living here.

So, without further ado - I present to you the Ten Commandments of Living in Shreveport.
