A fun, adult Halloween costume party turned deadly this weekend in Austin, according to Reuters.  At a very late Saturday night / early Sunday morning Halloween Party in Austin, 32 year old Randall Jones became extremely intoxicated and was asked by his roommates to leave.  Jones complied, but would come back later with a handgun and open fire on the crowd.  The shooting would leave 3 injured and 1 dead.

38 year old Michael McCloskey was shot several times in an attempt to stop Jones.  He was rushed to an area hospital where he later died.  One victim was treated at the scene and released, and two other women were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

After the shooting, Randall stumbled to a neighbor's house, laid the gun on the welcome mat, and waited for police to get there.  When the Austin PD arrived, he was taken into custody without further incident.

He is currently in the Travis County Jail and charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.  A murder charge is pending.
